How to Become a Better Version of Yourself Every Day?

All of us are a work in progress. All of us (or at least most of us hopefully) want to become the best version of ourselves, whether it is physically, emotionally, spiritually or intellectually speaking. However, if you don’t really know what you are improving on, becoming the best version of yourself can come with its fair share of battles. After all, how will you know when you are there yet? The trick lies in knowing what your ideal self looks like and while there is no single, apt formula to do this, your ability to create the absolute best ‘you’ begins with yourself. Once you crack that code, here is how you can transform into the best version of you.

Love yourself
Accept yourself as you are - failures, flaws and shortcomings included. Only when you make peace with yourself and love yourself uninhibitedly, you can work on becoming a better individual. Stop the negative self-talk. Remember, thoughts become things. Silencing that inner critic and putting a positive spin on things. Eliminate thoughts that question your capabilities and learn to accept compliments. Only when you love something enough, you give it the confidence to thrive and become better.

Notice your surroundings
Observe your surroundings and your thoughts. Being present in the moment ensures you are giving your all to wherever you are right now. Whether you are spending a day at the beach with your family, going for an event with friends or co-workers or volunteering at a local charity, take in what’s near and around you and focus on that.

Take care of yourself
Exercise in the morning, sleep and eat well and stay hydrated. Without your body feeling healthy, fit and firm, it’s hard to be the best version of yourself. Take as much care of your mind too. You need to control your mind; it shouldn’t be the other way round.

Analyze your day
Consider how your day passed by. Was there anything you did that you could have done differently? Was there any behavior or habit you performed that now in retrospect makes you cringe? Setting some time to think about the activities of the day gives you a chance to change any attitude, thought process or belief you wrongly held on to and carry on with the ones you think help you in your quest to a better you.

Pen down thoughts that occupy your mind
It is always a good idea to write about your thoughts and feelings. Putting things on paper helps you understand and comprehend things in a better way. You can also pen down your goals, plans and strategies. These can serve as reminders and can influence your mindset more than you can imagine. 

Above all, learn to add value to every day, no matter how small or insignificant it may feel. Stop pleasing people, criticizing others and letting the fear of failure or success get to you. Take chances, forgive, take responsibility for you and be thankful for your wonderful life. Nothing else puts things more into perspective to make you the best you can ever be.
